Urban Accessibility Hub Seminar: Accessibility and Sustainable Urban Mobility

By on March 23, 2017

The Urban Management Masters at Universidad Piloto de Colombia and the Urban Accessibility Hub, in cooperation with Chihuahua State, are organizing the Seminar: “Accessibility and Sustainable Urban Mobility; challenges for the XXI century”. The Seminar will take place on the 23rd and 24th of March in Chihuahua, Mexico.

Urban Mobility is a topic that can affect accessibility, mainly in the poorest communities of the cities where there is a lack of investments in public transportation on which these communities depend to reach their destinations. Also, more and more transport projects and investments are focused on the promotion of sustainable transport means like walking, cycling and transit use. The seminar takes the position that public policies should focus on sustainable transportation and accessibility as important aims in urban planning.
