UN-Habitat Global Urban Lectures – New Season

By on September 30, 2019

We are pleased to announce the call for lecture proposals for the sixth season of the Global Urban Lectures. The Global Urban Lectures are some of UN-Habitat’s most popular videos, in which renowned experts, UN-Habitat partners and UN-Habitat Staff deliver a 15-minute lecture on themes related to sustainable urbanisation. The new season will be launched at the World Urban Forum 10 (WUF10) in February 2020 in Abu Dhabi.

One of the key principles of the Global Urban Lectures is to demonstrate a sound analysis of problems and issues at stake, including clear propositions to address them and examples that present how such propositions are being tested or have been effectively implemented.

On this occasion, we are welcoming innovative research or experiences relating to the implementation of the New Urban Agenda, and the localisation of SDG11 to demonstrate what has taken place three years after the Habitat III in terms of housing and sustainable urban development.

If you have an innovative and interesting practice or applied research to share please submit your proposal through the following link : http://uni.unhabitat.org/global-urban-lectures-propose-lecture/.

Applications from women and candidates from developing countries are strongly encouraged.

All complete applications should be submitted by Sunday 27th of October 2019.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at unhabitat-uni@un.org.

We look forward to receiving your proposals!
