Lecturer in undergraduate and graduate Courses on urban and housing managements topics. Researcher in urban and housing management, urban engineering, social housing, slums upgrading and urban sustainability.
Sustainable Development Goal 11 targets relating to activity
11.1 By 2030, ensure access for all to adequate, safe and affordable housing and basic services and upgrade slums
11.3 By 2030, enhance inclusive and sustainable urbanization and capacity for participatory, integrated and sustainable human settlement planning and management in all countries
11.5 By 2030, significantly reduce the number of deaths and the number of people affected and substantially decrease the direct economic losses relative to global gross domestic product caused by disasters, including water-related disasters, with a focus on protecting the poor and people in vulnerable situations

Changes that took place as a result of this activity
Main changes had been observed in projects and design of slums upgrading initiatives. Another contribution was in the field of urban sustainability.
How the impact of the activity was measured
Through the publication of articles in Brazilian (in Portuguese) and international (in English) journals we disseminated important aspects of urban sustainability and slums upgrading projects. All those information had been transformed in standards, regulations and guidelines used by stakeholders of urban projects.
