Description of activity
Inclusive Heritage Based City development programme was initiated by Ministry of Urban development (MOUD) , Government of India and supported by the World Bank, Cities Alliance and UNESCO. CEPT University was chosen as the implementation agency. At the National scale, IHCDP was the first attempt to main stream Heritage Conservation and Management activities with the City development goals, inclusive housing and Poverty reductions.

Enthused by the findings of IHCDP, Govt of India further expanded the scope and launched a National level programme on Urban Heritage Management Called, HRIDAY in 12 Cities in India
