Call for self-recording lecturers

Would you like to be the next Global Urban Lecturer? Or do you know anyone with a project related to sustainable urbanisation that the world needs to know about?

With the fifth season in the making and over 140,000 views, UN-Habitat UNI’s ‘Global Urban Lectures’are the most viewed videos of UN-Habitat. The series is praised as a flagship program and is currently seen in 65 countries.  The 15 min video lectures document Sustainable Urban Development knowledge of urban experts associated with UN-Habitat and share it across UN-Habitat’s broad partner base across the globe. The series aims to gather expertise and experience from renowned international scholars and professionals who excel in their fields and share knowledge with a wide audience of urban actors. Each lecture package is comprised of a 15 min video about a subject related to cities and urbanisation, a short biography of the speaker, a synopsis of the session as well as references to additional reading materials by which the viewer can expand his/her knowledge on the subject of the lecture.

Through its association with Habitat UNI, the reach of these lectures extend to a global audience that includes over 200 universities who are associated with UN-Habitat, as well as the other UN-Habitat Agenda partners and the general public concerning urban future. The lectures are available online, are not to be used for commercial purposes and may be used by scholars and educational institutions as part of their educational programmes.
