Department of Architecture and Planning at VNIT, Nagpur is one of the premier institutions in India imparting education in Architecture & Urban Planning. The Department offers Masters in Urban Planning with course works related with Climate Change, Disaster Risk Reduction, Urban Governance, Resilient City Planning, Housing and Urban Sustainability. PhD research works in these areas are also been carried out under the supervision of Department faculty members. The Department also hosts IRDR International Center of Excellence in Resilient Communities & Settlements and is a signatory to MoUs with renowned International Universities including Keio University, Japan, Beijing Normal University, China and BRICS University Network. The faculty members are engaged in various research projects funded by the National as well as international agencies. It also enjoys a close working linkage with the local development agencies and Municipal Corporation.

With advanced research capabilities in urban planning domains and a close tie-up with the local development agencies, VNIT, Nagpur would be keen to collaborate for establishing a platform towards policy innovation for sustainable & resilient city futures at National as well as Regional levels
