The Department of Civil and Urban Engineering at NYU Poly is concentrated on improving the sustainablity and resilience of the urban form.

Centered in Downtown Brooklyn, this department has often served as a facilitator of cooperation between New York City agencies in order to broker new solutions for the demands posed by a challenging urban environment.
