Call for lecturers attending Habitat III

We are pleased to announce an open call for new potential lecturers to the 4th season of the Global Urban Lectures!

The Global Urban Lecture series is UN-Habitat UNI’s outreach initiative recording experts on sustainable urban development from across the globe, in order to share their knowledge with the global community of urban practitioners.

The series currently has 3 seasons and 35 lectures online. It is viewed in 57 countries and has an audience spanning over 200 UNI partner universities as well as the wider public.

It occupies seven places in the list of top ten most viewed videos of UN-Habitat, has over 75,000 views as of September 2016 and is one of the most shared and viewed outreach initiatives of the agency.

The Global Urban Lectures will record its 4th season in association with Habitat III in Quito, Ecuador – 17-20 October 2016, and is currently looking for potential speakers to record at the venue.

In order to be considered for a recording the lecturer need to be attending the event, and be a well documented urban expert with expertise to share in relation to sustainable urban development.

The recording itself takes approximately 1h, and results in a 15 minute lecture which will be shared across UN-Habitat’s outreach channels.
