Description
The Faculty of Architecture (FA) is one of the 18 faculties and institutes belonging to the University of Lisbon. The scientific areas covered by the university range from sciences and engineering to the arts and the humanities, including architecture and design. It has an intake of over 40.000 students and is one of the top European universities in the Shanghai ranking.

The FA offers courses leading to the award of the Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD degrees in Architecture, Urbanism and Design. It also offers non-degree courses which provide further training for professionals who wish to extend their knowledge. The School has an intake of approximately 3.000 students, with a large number of foreign students.

Suggested Collaboration Opportunities

Collaboration opportunities mainly involves  two pillars of our institution: Education and Research, aimed towards: Joint trans-disciplinary collaborative courses implementing new programmes, organising summer courses, online courses, study tours, strengthening working relationships with city partners, promoting PhD research collaborations, engaging in the thematic hubs of UNI, disseminating action research, circulating toolboxes, integrating research into specific university programmes.

Concerning the other three pillars of UNI, collaboration may take place through: organization of seminars, workshops and conferences bridging theory and practice, the university, the municipalities and civil society.
