Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI) is an autonomous and self funded organization registered as a society. It is a leading policy think tank and a premier institution providing training, research and consultancy services.

Established in 1956, as a result of the enterprising collaborative initiative of the corporate world and the government, it pioneered post-experience education in India and continues to be the foremost institution for administrators and practicing managers occupying decision making positions at functional and policy levels in government, industries and service sectors in India and abroad.

Indicative areas of expertise include Urban Governance, Environment, Infrastructure, Social Innovations and Entrepreneurship, Public Policy, Innovative Technology, IT, Poverty and Rural Studies, Health, Gender, e-Governance, Energy, Management.

Suggested Collaboration Opportunities

The Urban Programme in ASCI provides policy, training, advisory and knowledge support to various tiers of governments, national and international development organizations for promoting urban sector reforms in India and in emerging countries. The Ministry of Urban Development, Government of India has recognized ASCI as a Centre for Excellence in Service Delivery, Governance Reforms and Public Private Partnership.

ASCI has been closely associated with UN-Habitat for over a decade. UN-Habitat, ASCI and in partnership with Cities Alliance was involved in developing city development strategies, slum upgrading, participatory planning, urban leadership development and policy advocacy at the national level. A number of joint consultations and workshops were held while developing Habitat Agenda.
